Surrey Heath Borough Council has made a commitment to support and regenerate Camberley town centre which includes a £22 million redevelopment of Places Leisure Centre. The new centre opening July 2021, features a 25 metre 6-lane Pool, Learner Pool with adjustable floor, 8 Court Sports Hall, Fitness Suite, Group Exercise Studios, Adventure Play, Clip ‘n Climb, a Health Suite and a Costa Coffee.
Flick Lighting were invited by Eleciserve Electrical Contractors to work on this redevelopment delivered by Pelikaan Construction. Flick supported the design and supplied lighting for the Fitness Suite, Sports Hall, Clip ‘n’ Climb and Learner Pool.
After the initial site visit and study of the designs, we decided what fittings were best for each area and in total installed over 225 lighting fixtures. For the Fitness Studio we used our LINEAR STIRLING with DALI dimming. In the Sports Hall and Clip ‘n’ Climb areas we used our LIBERTY 2 (2ft.) and LIBERTY 4 (4ft.) and in the Leaner Pool our IP65 rated FORCE 22 HYGIENE fittings.
