All products from Flick Lighting are warranted for 5 years. They are to be free from workman ship defects and materials provided that the luminaires are used on proper supply of mains voltage, are properly installed by competent personnel and have not been misused.
The warranty period shall start from the date of invoice to the end user or, if the end user is unable to provide proof of invoice, the date of dispatch from Flick Lighting shall be set.
Under this warranty, the Company’s liability to making all necessary replacements of defective component parts of luminaires during the 5 year period without charge provided the buyer returns the luminaires to the company’s factory.
The Company will not be liable for charges incurred by the purchaser to rectify the luminaires either during the installation period or during the maintenance period unless the Company has previously approved the charges in writing. However, the Company reserves the right to carry out rectification at its own factory or other maintenance facilities.
In the following circumstances, the limited guarantee shall be null and void:-
1. Modification or repair of any covered product or part by the installer, end user or any non-authorised Flick Lighting service provider
2. Improper use or installation, failure to conduct regular maintenance or cleaning, or damage by accident or neglect.
3. Failure by the installer, end user or any third party to exercise caution to protect anycovered product or part from outside damage, adverse temperature (normal operating ambient temperature 0 – 25°C), humidity conditions, fluctuations in the electrical system or physical abuse as well as failure related to workmanship in the installation of the product or parts.
4. Flick Lighting will not assume responsibility for corrosion or other resulting damage to products where they are installed in areas in which fertilizer or chemicals are present, either in the air or in the soil or where products are installed near to chemical plants etc., or areas with emissions of heavy polluted air.
5. It is essential that all emergency luminaires are tested in accordance with BS EN 5266-8-2004. Increased frequency of emergency testing may result in the premature replacement of battery pack, Batteries are supplied with a 12 month warranty only.
