Funding awarded by the Premier League, through the Football Stadia Improvement Fund, allowed Tamworth Football Club to install new columns with the latest energy efficient LED floodlights.

The Brief

To install new columns with the latest energy efficient LED floodlights, replacing the existing 9 lighting columns, lighting the ground to 300 lux.

The Solution

We offered a full turn key solution to LED, fully controllable via an over ride switch offering 5 scenes, also linked via a Tablet so the lights can be controlled remotely via Bluetooth technology.  This gives the club complete control of the columns to light the playing surface from anywhere in the ground, whether it be a full match or a training session on half of the pitch.  Energy has reduced from 78,000 Kw to 27,000 Kw, but by increasing the light source and the conformity across the pitch.

The Arena Sports Flood has been designed to utilise the very latest in high efficiency Samsung LED chips and has an impressive output of 130Ll/cW and 175,000 delivered lumens overall.

Tamworth FC and Committee are delighted with the finished result and are now looking forward to the first league game where they can showcase the project to supporting fans and other Football Clubs.  The club will now benefit from a sustainable system that has improved the facilities offered to the local community.
