Funding awarded by the Football Association allowed Coleshill Football Club to install new columns of LED floodlights.

The Brief

Coleshill’s aim was to install new columns with the latest energy-efficient LED floodlights and replace the existing lighting columns, in order to reduce the club’s energy levels. Coleshill FC contacted Flick directly after seeing the work we completed at Tamworth Football Club. The project was completely supplied, managed, and installed by Flick Lighting.

The Solution

We offered a full turnkey solution to LED, fully controllable via an override switch offering six scenes to cater to various site requirements, also linked via a Tablet so the lights can be controlled remotely via Bluetooth technology. This gives the club complete control of the columns to light the playing surface from anywhere in the ground, whether it be a full match or a training session on half of the pitch. 

Energy has been reduced from 78,000 Kw to 27,000 Kw, but by increasing the light source and the conformity across the pitch. The Arena Sports Flood has been designed to utilise the very latest in high-efficiency Samsung LED chips and has an impressive output of 130Ll/cW and 175,000 delivered lumens overall. The club will now benefit from a sustainable system that has improved the facilities offered to the local community.
