Carnival Leisure Centre
The new state-of-the-art leisure centre facility includes a swimming pools, a children’s splash pad, a health suite (sauna, salt, and steam rooms), 120 station fitness suite, fitness studios including a group cycling studio, a cafe and a dual-purpose hall for sports or 400 seat-cultural performances.
THE BRIEF
Barrie Beard Electrical Contractors engaged Flick to develop and implement a project strategy that incorporated energy-efficient lighting solutions for communal spaces, swimming pools, fitness suites, and studios.
THE SOLUTION
Following the completion of the lighting design, we selected our STIRLING and LIBERTY 4 SPORTS extruded aluminum body fixtures for installation in the fitness suite and sports hall. All LIBERTY fixtures undergo rigorous testing, including compliance with the ball test outlined in DIN 57710 part 13, to ensure they can withstand the impact of a size 4 football traveling at 60 kilometers per hour. Additionally, these LIBERTY fixtures can deliver illumination of up to 168 lumens per circuit watt (L/cw), while the STIRLING fixtures can achieve up to 138 L/cw. This means that all the products supplied are exceptionally energy-efficient.
