Bulmershe Leisure Centre
The new £14.5 million Bulmershe Leisure Centre is managed by Places Leisure, in partnership with Wokingham Borough Council.  The centre includes a six-lane 25-metre swimming pool and a teaching pool, a gymnasium, sports hall, studios and a cafe.  Exercise and fitness have never been more important in today’s society and it is vital that these essential sports facilities are kept maintained and are available to serve the community for years to come. Â
THE BRIEF
Flick Lighting were invited by Barrie Beard Electrical Contractor to work alongside Pellikaan Construction to design and deliver a project brief that incorporated lighting within all communal areas, swimming pools, gymnasiums and studios.
THE SOLUTION
After the initial site visit and design, our range of STIRLING and LIBERTY 4 SPORTS extruded aluminium body fittings were specified across the new fitness suite and sports hall. All LIBERTY fittings are tested for compliance with the ball test in DIN 57710 part 13, ensuring the fittings withstand the impact of a size 4 football projected at 60kpm.
The LIBERTY fittings will run at 168L/cw and the STIRLING at 105L/cw, meaning all products supplied are extremely efficient.
